Faculty/Division Programs

[Print-friendly version]

Work areas in QUT are unique in aspects of employee profile, job requirements, work environment etc so each work area understandably has unique Wellness issues. The Wellness Matters Program enables specific interactive and enjoyable Wellness programs to be developed after a thorough assessment of the work area's needs. In conjunction with Wellness Matters staff, Wellness related activities and programs may be incorporated into Staff meetings, team building sessions, workshops, seminars, planning sessions etc.

Within the scope of the Wellness Matters Program an opportunity exists for Faculties, Divisions, Schools, Departments and work area groups to develop and control their own Wellness Program in conjunction with Wellness Matters staff.

Example of the process to establish a QUT Faculty/Division Wellness Program:

  • Meet formally with Wellness Staff to plan the process
  • Conduct an online assessment of your unit/area's needs
  • Meet with Wellness Staff to
    1. review results of the Needs Assessment
    2. plan program of Wellness activity offerings to meet specific needs of the group
  • Create a supportive Wellness Work - Life culture
  • Encourage work area colleagues to be involved
  • Promote program offerings to work area colleagues.
