Ambassadors provide information on all aspects of the Wellness Matters Program and are the conduit for feedback from colleagues to the Wellness Matters staff. See Who/where for further information and to find an Ambassador in your work are.

Wellness Matters Ambassadors - Partners in your health and well-being

Wellness Ambassadors are the liaisons between their work area and the Wellness Matters Program staff.

Who are Wellness Ambassadors?

Wellness Ambassadors are QUT employees who have an interest in Health and Wellness and are willing to voluntarily assist the integration and enculturation of Wellness into the University community and University life by acting to assist the achievement of the Wellness Matters mission and objectives.

What do Wellness Ambassadors do?

As a team of Wellness champions, the Ambassadors' main responsibility is to motivate colleagues to engage in Wellness activities and positive behaviours to achieve healthier lifestyles and improve work-life balance. Ambassadors are advocates of the Wellness Matters Program and they do this by actively promoting the Wellness Matters Program, encouraging colleagues to take part in scheduled Wellness activities, providing feedback and suggestions to the Wellness Matters staff, assisting access to Wellness resources and nurturing a Wellness culture. 

The role of a Wellness Ambassador includes:

  • disseminating Wellness promotion information and resources to work area colleagues
  • promoting Wellness Matters Program activities to work area colleagues
  • nurturing a Wellness culture at work area functions and activities
  • providing feedback on Wellness issuesof their work area to Wellness Matters staff
  • attending the two scheduled Ambassador meetings a year
  • encouraging colleagues to participate in the Wellness Matters Program.
  • attending Wellness Matters seminar series, workshops and events when possible

Initial length of commitment is 12 months.You can remain an Ambassador for as long as you wish.
