Wellness Health and Fitness Appraisal
A personal Wellness Health and Fitness Appraisal that will provide a comprehensive assessment that can help you set realistic goals, ascertain the safe starting point or assess progress of your physical activity program. This includes the Healthy heart check, range of movement and posture appraisal, blood glucose levels, and a Fitness test on a stationary bike. A report and exercise guidelines are provided for you with a follow-up consultation.
Healthy Heart Check. New! A personal assessment of total cholesterol, blood glucose, body composition, height, weight, blood pressure and waist circumference. This assessment well help determine your risk of chronic disease, assist in weight managment goals, and provide the motivation to make some wellness decisions for your long term health.
Just Walk It Program/Walk Australia
Opportunities for QUT employees to get active by monitoring all their walking, or running including 'Walk Australia' which is an incentive program with great prizes.
Body Mechanics- Musculoskeletal Health. New! This is a basic assessment of your posture and your range of movement at hip/knee/shoulder/back. A report and guidelines for stretching and strengthening exercises will be provided over two 30 minute sessions.

Confidentially discuss Wellness related issues and personal Wellness goals with a one of our qualified staff..
Exercise Rehabilitation and Personal Training (PT)
One-on-one personal training provides a personal training guide to direct, develop, correct and inspire you to engage in an effective physical activity plan which fits in to your lifestyle.
Wellness Workplace Programs
In conjunction with Wellness Matters staff, specific programs, or interactive and enjoyable Wellness activities developed in consultation with the Manager of your work area. A Wellness Workplace Tool Kit can be distributed to your Manager to assist in developing programs and activities that staff can identify they are interested in.
Wellness Resources
A range of wellness resources that are available for all staff to access from either the website or from the Wellness Centre at X block 104. Check the NEW Wellness Notice boards now located under R Block at Kelvin Grove and under X Block at Gardens Point for updates on events, services and resources.
Wellness Special Interest Groups
Interacting with, communicating and sharing information and enthusiasm with colleagues engaged in similar Health and Wellness interests enhances all participants' potential to maintain involvement in healthy behaviours.
Wellness Ambassador Program
Wellness Matters Ambassadors provide Wellness assistance and referral information to colleagues in their work area while acting as liaisons between them and Wellness Matters staff.
