Wellness Programs/Classes

Wellness Matters provide intermittent Meditation and Tai Chi classes.

Community Events

Wellness Matters currently has a Healthy Seminar Series 2008 held at Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove for all staff to attend for free.

As a courtesy, if you can not make the session then please email wellnessmatters@qut.edu.au to inform staff of your absence as this may allow other employees to attend in your place.

Wellness workshops, seminars

Currently we have a Healthy Seminar Series held at Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses. No payment required but please register with Wellness if you are attending.Email wellnessmatters@qut.edu.au.

Information and education sessions covering numerous Health and Wellness issues
such as stress, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, cancer, nutrition, Wellness and laughter, changing Health behaviour, setting and achieving wellness goals etc are offered periodically (either free or cost recovery) presented by Wellness Matters staff, QUT Health professionals or visiting speakers.

Workshops are specifically designed to run for a set time period (usually four weeks) and provide written material to compliment the content. Maximum number in each workshop is restricted to ensure the instructor can provide individual attention.

How to book

If a booking is necessary, Email wellnessmatters@qut.edu.au to register your interest in the workshop or seminar. Wellness Matters staff will then email a response to indicate that you have a reserved place in the workshop or seminar. If there is a cost for the workshop your place is not confirmed until payment has been made and received.

How to pay

For workshops that incur a cost, payment may be made through ePay (go to 'QUT Virtual', click on the 'ePay' link under 'Administration', click on 'Wellness Programs' in the left hand menu and follow the directions).

Alternatively, fill out a Request for Receipt Form entering the Pick Number '232' on the form for account details and pay by cash/cheque/credit card through any Campus Cashier.

All purchases made via ePay will be debited to your credit card. Amex, Visa, Mastercard, and Bankcard are accepted.

Please bring your receipt to the event so that we can verify your payment and receipt number.
